Samsung just got applause for moving to a virtual home button, which every other Android phone has had for years. This industry is strange.
I am never going to not picture Bixby as a dog butler wearing formal shoes
The Galaxy S8 has a headphone jack. :)
Galaxy S8 has a certified mobile HDR display that streams HDR from Netflix and Amazon. Neat.
Saying “You ARE the password” to hype the S8’s face-unlock is a little weird in the age of airport phone searches.
Samsung Bixby = Google Assistant, but worse.
Samsung Connect Home = Google Home, but worse.
I’ve spent a week trying to get the ISP lobby to answer 1 question about selling your personal info & now I give up https://t.co/q6NkxPEOWZ
Samsung Galaxy S8 ships April 21. Starts at $750. Remember that if you buy one you don't care about health care per our congressmen.
After an hour of holding it together, the Samsung keynote ended with a pure blast of life-affirming Samsung Weird.
Amazing that Samsung's own Continuum is better than Microsoft's. You can run apps side-by-side and use facial login https://t.co/2b7rQ5zOkZ
Samsung DeX is a very cool concept that looks reasonably well executed and has basically no practical use case whatsoever.
how much $$$$ does kaspersky spend on PR
My take on the standard S8: It's basically an S7 edge compact. If you like the S7e's size, the S8 is the one to get. The S8+ is HUGE.
Even after the demo, still think Bixby looks like something no one will really use. It's Google Goggles meets voice controls. Meh.
halfway to work realized forgot wallet had to go home angry at world dont talk to me today
T-Mobile's retail pricing for S8/S8+ is $750/$850. Told you there wouldn't be any thousand dollar phones.
Even if the home button is obscured by an app or the screen is off, you can just press hard to activate it. It's a pretty neat idea.
the S8 looks cool and all but I can’t imagine buying a non-iPhone at this point only because of security reasons
The Home experience on Gear VR feels pretty damn identical to Rift now, largely due to 2x resolution and new movem… https://t.co/w3Vg74tNSU
if amazon were truly cool and good they would make kindles look like this again
I'm getting reader for Easter with some 🔥 dad jokes for Twitter. They're going to be
Hot Cross Puns
Ford acquired Chariot, the privatized shuttle service that's seeing adoption in SF. now GM-backed Lyft doing it too.
Pretty sure the inventors of VR did not intend for it to be used for "here ostrich see what it's like to fly now go back to your puny wings"
Lyft was doing so well at riding the bad Uber publicity (by being quiet) and then they said they were "woke"... https://t.co/k3pCRm7q1w
One thing I noticed in brief DeX demo: unplug phone, step away, plug back in, have to re-open all apps. No "memory" of your mobile desktop.
This is exactly right. Co's better work harder on their biometric authentication pitches these days. https://t.co/sJR2PMQOTS
My initial thoughts on the Galaxy S8 and S8+, which are real shifts away from Samsung's priorities with the S7. https://t.co/B3fdZACiA2
Infinity display is actually its own little infinity pool that you can throw phone into in case it
okay I'm done now.
let's get some revamped PR photos, it's been a while
i'm going full in darth maul whatttt the prequels were good
No matter how well we connect with technology nothing beats your folks knocking on the door after ~24 hours on a plane 😎
apparently we did a story on my buddy frank who makes toys but they didnt quote me insulting him… https://t.co/GxA0M9TIMA
By the way, Google Assistant will also be on the #GalaxyS8
. You still touch the home button to pull it up. Bixby gets own dedicated button.
