@lilsarg@realDonaldTrump Also there’s a history of fraud: Schilling and other former executives at 38 Studios have agreed to pay $2.5 million to the state of Rhode Island to settle outstanding claims of defrauding the state out of $75 million in loans
With Trump floating a Curt Schilling congressional campaign today, I checked in on the 38 Studios debt.
RI taxpayers are still paying.
SEC recently secured ~$1M, but RI taxpayers need to put $12.3 million in next year's budget to finish paying it off https://t.co/nR3G5ejPMl
If this happens some reporters should reach out to the former 38 Studios video game company employees and ask them about how Curt laid them all off after his video game ran out of money. Right, @FromHappyRock ? https://t.co/ICknJGUCOO
@realDonaldTrump@foxandfriends He is a colossal business failure. Just like #FailureTrump
Joining the #BiggestLoserTrump camp now is PROOF he is not just a loser but has a flawed personal character. Kind of like joining the Manson cult AFTER the helter skelter murders
@NateGoldman@terminallynerdy Worked f/ Green Monster Games (rebranded 38 Studios, LLC) on Copernicus, renamed Kingdoms of Amalur. He still owes many of his employees months of back pay! I lost hundreds of hours & thousands of $ to that man. The bright side? I met & worked with R.A. Salvatore & Todd McFarlane
Fun story about how Curt Schilling shafted the people who worked for him: in addition to not paying his workers as the company ran out money, and firing everyone without severance, 38 Studios also left a bunch of employees on the hook for two mortgages.
@AaronBlake "...after 38 Studios' failure, and 2012 bankruptcy filings showed the company with $150 million in debt and just $22 million in assets. Still, it leaves Rhode Island taxpayers on the hook for $28.2 million worth of bonds..."
@realDonaldTrump@foxandfriends Curt Schilling, another failed businessman.

End Game: Curt Schilling and the Destruction of 38 Studios No wonder Trump loves him: racist, anti-LGBTQ, drives a business into the ground & emails their termination letters. Shilling is a stand up guy. Just ask Rhode Island. https://t.co/4e740sEJT1
EXCUSE ME BUT DOES ANYONE REMEMBER WHEN SCHILLING DEFRAUDED $75 MILLION IN LOANS TO THE RHODE ISLAND STATE FOR 38 STUDIOS, A VIDEO GAME COMPANY THAT FAILED? LETS TAKE INTO ACCOUNT SCHILLING’S INHERENT LACK OF EXPERIENCE IN THIS INDUSTRY. https://t.co/rMGKdhizqE ok. done 4 today. https://t.co/TMDardFzLm
@NateGoldman@ljalawless Curt Schilling is a scammer..his company, 38 Studios, made the video game Kingdom of Amalur. Schilling made millions & claimed he would hire thousands but, defaulted on the loans, then stole the money & filed bankruptcy.
@shannonrwatts Shilling is also a failed business man who bilked the state of RI out of millions and drove 38 studios into the ground.
He's also been described as a con man, as one more concerned with burnishing his image. No wonder Trump likes him.
