Ms Little tells #AgedCareRC that the current assessment process and visiting process is "problematic". "It's becoming more punitive. It's becoming an aggressive process rather than a helpful one". She says assessors are aggressive, negative and there to "catch them out".

Staff can be pre-screened as much as you want but that won't ensure abusers are routed out completely. With #CamerasInCare you get added security and it may put off those people. People fall through the net and there's only a certain amount pre-screening can do. #AgedCareRC

Witness complaining that aged care assessors are ‘too aggressive’ & look to find fault clearly has no concept of what compliance audits are about. Considering that we are having an #AgedCareRC because of horrific abuse of the elderly I’d say assessors are not aggressive enough.

@anmf_federal But comprehensive primary care essential. Frail elderly should not yo yo nursing home to ED to receive basic medical attention. All have right to interested caring GP who knows them. Especially frail elderly are victims of the war on Medicare. #AgedcareRC
