Lmao people mad that Anna Paquin only had 7 lines in The Irishman. The movie was about how DeNiro wasn’t a good dad and didn’t talk with his daughter. Also Anna Paquin still killed it. Her performance was true acting... not just with the lines. She’s great. Fuck off.
Anna Paquin's response to her 7 lines in #TheIrishman: "Nope, nobody was doing any ‘ordering.' I auditioned for the privilege of joining the incredible cast of ‘The Irishman’ and I’m incredibly proud to get to be a part of this film.”

Robert De Niro says Anna Paquin's performance in #TheIrishman "resonates” despite her having few lines

My childhood was a simpler time, in which the pinnacle of coming-of-age storytelling was a movie in which Anna Paquin helps her bearded, extremely divorced dad use like a motorized hang-glider that looks like a goose to lead a flock of Canada geese on their migration
ummmm Anna Paquin only got 8 lines in the Irishman??? Miss me with that sexist shit fohhhh
*crowd going wild*
uhh and while we’re at it we could’ve used cgi to make joe pesci black
*crowd getting quieter*
and what if ray romano had to defend NAMBLA for the entire third act
Robert De Niro on Anna Paquin's 7 lines: “She was very powerful and that’s what it was. Maybe in other scenes there could’ve been some interaction between Frank and her possibly, but that’s how it was done. She’s terrific and it resonates.” #TheIrishman

Anna Paquin's agent
Anna Paquin has only 7 lines in The Irishman. Robert De Niro is going on strike to get her 8.
Any fool who is making a sexist case out of Anna Paquin’s limited lines in The Irishman is an idiotic dramatic illiterate. Her performance STANDS OUT without lines. Goddamned morons.
@neontaster This is what they call it a “free market”. If Anna Paquin doesn’t want a small role, then she doesn’t need to sign the contract. I realize she’s not the one complaining here, but these people are just idiots.
@latimesent Honestly this headline did me a favor, I had no idea that was Oscar winner Anna Paquin.
@latimesent Why did they even hire Anna Paquin? They should have given part to a trans woman. #WokeAF
a mere 7 lines yet she still delivers an incredible performance. Tremendous job by Anna Paquin
https://t.co/FHDt1Tq5LzWhy are you watching a movie if your counting minutes per actor? Get a life.
Seven words in a 3.5-hour movie: De Niro defends Anna Paquin’s role in ‘The Irishman’
https://t.co/FElIzos8qLnobody is forcing Anna Paquin’s character into silence. It’s her punishment to her father. She CHOOSES to be silent towards him because she sees him as unworthy of conversing with. Her silence is more powerful than some melodramatic monologue about what a monster frank is.
Next.
https://t.co/gUVvGzBR3KAnna Paquin (& Margot Robbie) are victims of Hollywood’s white male patriarchy who force them into roles where they look pretty & don’t speak...
...must surely be the most intersectional feminist hot-take ever!?
@latimesent 1. Anna Paquin is an actress that doesn’t need any dialogue to convey emotion. Anyone who criticizes the lack of lines for her character are truly disrespecting her craft.
He visto en 4 días, 3 veces The Irishman, por supuesto, entera.
Como alguien me diga a la cara algo sobre duración lo degûello.
Si ya dicen algo de personajes femeninos, "practicaré el medievo con su culo"
Lo de Anna Paquin sólo con miradas es digno de estudio
@saltiwords @IMDb FOH. Anna Paquin had the most impact out of all the actors/actresses in the film. Her lack of lines made her even more powerful. Thank Scorsese for giving her such a powerful role in the movie
I don’t think there’s an ethical problem with the undercharacterization(?) of women in most Scorsese movies, but it might be an aesthetic shortcoming. Anna Paquin’s character was not a talker though so I don’t think her not talking is a problem.
@Sakefish FOH prick. Anna Paquin had the most impact out of all the actors/actresses in the film. Her lack of lines made her even more powerful. Thank Scorsese for giving her such a powerful role in the movie
Give Anna Paquin an Oscar for each of her lines in The Irishman
