Astros PR guy firing up the bush league jokes immediately.
Man, the last four months of the Astros' PR management are just an *incredible* case study in what not to do
The Astros PR department should be fired over this joke of a press conference 🤦🏾♂️
Having the paper with the prepared statement fall off the podium, and Astros PR picking it back up feels pretty poetic https://t.co/lIBillPQKz
Harold Reynolds crushing the players and @Astros PR on @MLBNetwork
. “It’s terrible. Bad advice, because you just messed them up for the rest of the year. Bad, bad, bad advice.”
90 seconds combined between Altuve & Bregman.
What exactly is the Astros PR department paid to do besides fall face-first into pits of mud
The Astros PR guy makes a statement and immediately walks through a bush.
Bush league organization https://t.co/ekP2xjsXTF
At least we know more about the Astros PR guy now... How awful could you be?
Why even make Bregman and Altuve show up to this if they aren't gonna answer questions? And now you're gonna let them get bombarded in the clubhouse by media? Terrible https://t.co/dWGt59PX9C
Live look at Astros’ PR department:
Somebody should make an hour long documentary highlighting the Astros PR dealings over the last 4 months and play it for every communications class in the country so they can see what NOT to do.
How is the Astros PR staff this bad??? Who thought this was a good idea? The entire “apology” was abysmal. They just made it so much worse.
If the events of the past year (blocking Tigers reporter from clubhouse, handling of taunting of female reporter, this sign-stealing scandal presser) have taught us anything, it's the #Astros PR staff is an absolute mess.
Astros PR director:
Astros PR which had shown several cracks in the last couple or so years did not do itself any favors today. Players making only short remarks comes off as insincere and Jim Crane not only failed to properly prepare but walked back several statements moments apart. Disaster.
Astros PR team: Well, I think most people have moved on. As long as we don’t say or do anything stupid, we should be able to …
Jim Crane: LLEEERRROOOOOYYY JEENNKKIIIINNSSS! https://t.co/sp1sj5CqqO
"Okay now we have a crisis. Like my pappy used to say, the best way to o
Put out a fire is to throw more gas on it so it burns out faster."
-Astros PR Crisis Advisor.
Carlos Correa gave an honest and sincere apology. Bregman’s and Altuve’s were feeble. The owner’s comments were ridiculous. How could the Astros’ PR strategy be so foolish? For the most part a real apology and this goes away. No everyone is shaking their head.
Who is the astros pr person and what is wrong with them
I want a job doing Astros PR. Seems like there's not much to do.
I have the most hilarious vision of paid Astros PR persons clapping in a room watching these debacles with pride and glee. “Bravissimo!! That went great! That’s that. Case closed. Now then, who’s hungry?” https://t.co/fP4tgjVpLp
The Astros PR people are atrocious. Remember the reporter who was criticized last year by the team. They had to retract that statement also.
