Boeheim half: "We got a bad start, then Kadary came in, got a couple steals and Joe hit a couple. We need to make some shots and he got us right back in it. Then we just were good on defense. Jesse did a great job in the middle. He really protected it. He did a tremendous job."
Boeheim on Jesse Edwards: "He showed a lot of promise tonight. This was by far the best that he’s played here. He’s a presence, he’s big, he’s long."
Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim confirmed in his post-game presser that both Buddy Boeheim and Joe Girard had tested positive for Covid.
Boeheim: "Kadary made some really good passes. His defense was exceptional."
Adds that assistant coach Allen Griffin has worked extra with Jesse Edwards. "I think he has potential to get a lot better," Boeheim says.
Half: Syracuse went down 11-2 then ripped off a big run, tightened up on D and turned this into what could be a blowout. Orange up 36-22 with good minutes from Richmond and Edwards to provide the spark.

Boeheim following Syracuse's 83-57 win over Miami: "Kadary coming in and Jesse coming in (was good). Jesse was monstrous. He did a great job in the middle, he was a presence out there. Joe was really good. Q has been steady all year. I thought he made some good passes tonight."
When asked about having Covid, Joe Girard said he took one video of a bottle of hot sauce and not smelling anything and sent it to Buddy Boeheim.
