Alabama just went into Rupp and bullied Kentucky for 40 minutes. No JQ, lost Herb and Bruner...didn't matter. Won by 20 and honestly outplayed UK by more than the final margin indicates.
Watching Alabama run a five-out, threes or layups offense with four guards and Jordan Bruner against a Kentucky team with Olivier Sarr, Jacob Toppin and Isaiah Jackson on the floor is a pretty good summation of why Kentucky’s in this predicament right now.
No Quinerly; Jones goes out in first half; Bruner out for much of second; still win at Rupp by 20 with walkons on the floor to finish it. Stout.
Scary thing about Alabama is that they largely beat Kentucky shorthanded tonight. No Jahvon Quinerly. Herb Jones limited. Jordan Bruner out late. Lets hope all those guys are healthy. But if they are, Tide are only going to get *better* as the season goes on
Alabama coach Nate Oats: “Herb has a hand/finger issue. Bruner has a knee. They’ll both be taken to Birmingham to be evaluated in the morning.” Adds on Jones is a hand, not a wrist, and that “from what I heard, it’s not broken but he may be out for a while.”
.
@AlabamaMBB head coach Nate Oats:
"We're hoping to get Quinerly back by this weekend. We'll see. Hopefully we'll get one of those 3 (JQ, Herb, Bruner) back. Coaching staff has a lot to do to figure out Arkansas."
Did we REALLY just beat Kentucky by 20 AT Rupp??? Without Herbert, Jelly and Bruner (late) ?? #PinchingMyselfCauseIMUSTBeDreaming #RollTide 🐘🏀
If you would’ve told me we would start 5-0 in SEC play, I would’ve laughed in your face. If you would’ve told me we would beat Kentucky by 19 in Rupp Arena without Bruner, Herb, and JQ, I would’ve said you are on crack cocaine.
Nate Oats on Herbert Jones and Jordan Bruner: "Our trainer says they're both gonna be evaluated in the morning. Herb's is a hand/finger injury and Bruner's got a knee deal that they're gonna get them up to Birmingham and have the guys look at the injuries in the morning."
.
@AlabamaMBB head coach Nate Oats:
"Herbert Jones, trainer says that both he and Bruner will be evaluated in the morning. Jones hand/finger. Bruner, knee, get him up to Birmingham and have the guys look at the injuries in the morning. Hopefully will have an update tomorrow."
.
@AlabamaMBB Jordan Bruner is questionable to return tonight against Kentucky, right knee injury.
Alabama has a double-digit lead on Kentucky, but the Tide has had two starters go down with injuries.. Herb Jones and Jordan Bruner. The Hogs get the Tide on Saturday.
Tyler Barnes coming out to help Bruner up so that his teammates can get back to the huddle is why he is such a valuable member of this team
https://t.co/77NIFsmsVVOMG! Now Bruner is hurt 😩😩😩
Coach Nate Oats says that both Herb Jones (hand/finger) and Jordan Bruner (knee) will see a specialist tomorrow in Birmingham.
Wins @ Kentucky, @ Tennessee, @ Auburn with home wins against Ole Miss and Florida. 5-0. Hope Bruner and Herb are okay and we get Q back soon. This team might be special.
Nate Oats says Herb Jones (hand/finger) and Jordan Bruner (knee) will both be evaluated in the morning. Says hopefully they will have an update tomorrow afternoon.
@HoopsWeiss Without JQ and Herb Jones and Bruner get hurt in the game. Lose 3 starters and still win

https://t.co/gIvKNpEE0jherb can have my wrist and bruner can have my knee. chop me up limb by limb for bama hoops.
@UARoundballGuy My tweets to you last year around this time aren’t pretty but yea I feel ok abt herb and Bruner tho
Frederick Bruner's Commentary on the Gospel of John is unfathomable. Who could write 1200+ pages of wisdom on 21 chapters unless they were simply in love with the scriptures, and being in them alone, kept them fully in good company.
It’s getting real on the hardwood!!!🔥

https://t.co/vsrayptBLH@CrimsonXover @alexxreese18 Best game he’s played all season. Hope he can keep it up, we’re gonna need that depth if Herb/Bruner miss time
