@JeremyWGR Not firing the coach is an insult to Sabres fans everywhere. What’s more likely, Eichel, Hall, Sam, Dahlin, Skinner all being bad players? Or the head coach being amongst the worst the league has seen in awhile? Easy answer.

Make it 16 times out of the last 17 Sabre games one team or the other scored three goals. And the team with 3 goals is 11-1-4. Eichel, Hall, Sam, Skinner, Staal, Montour, Risto and Dahlin have to be able to score 3 a game.

@MattKopnak @Onthewarpathbuf @boomertang You can say that but also have to note not a single GM wasn’t taking Dahlin. So you can’t hit them on that. Look Svechnikov is probably going to be the top player out of that draft. If Dahlin is 2nd best so be it.

@Onthewarpathbuf @boomertang @CMDeDominicis They have spend draft capital on that specific position. Those players may not have the perceived ceiling as Dahlin, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible for them to be good players.

@boomertang @Onthewarpathbuf @CMDeDominicis I didn’t just wake up one day and thought “hmm I really want to piss everyone off... I’m going badmouth Dahlin”. Like everything I put on here I thought about it a lot. I factored in his play, advanced stats, perceived value and the Sabres depth at his position.

@boomertang @Onthewarpathbuf @CMDeDominicis I would be more inclined to be patient with Dahlin if the team wasn’t struggling as mightily as they have been this last 6 years. Time is also ticking with Jack, so that is interwoven with my idea too.

@Onthewarpathbuf @MattKopnak @CMDeDominicis 06 Hurricanes might be the last team to win it without a Norris candidate level or stud 1D (depending on how you feel about Letang/Gonchar during the Pit wins). On the asset management side, I actually value Dahlin even more. Top Fs are more plentiful and cheaper than top D.
