Yesterday, Bruce Pearl said that Frank Martin had his number when asked about playing South Carolina. Today that was not the case. Auburn beats SC 73-64 to move on to the SEC Tournament Semifinals. The Tigers will square off with Florida tomorrow at noon.
Frank Martin says if the NIT calls, he would love to participate.
Also says he feels they are good enough to play in the NCAA tournament, but he understands why not.
“The bottom line is we didn’t win enough to be in the NCAA tournament.” #SECMBB @wachfox
Wow! Frank Martin continues to put his absolute greatness on display! South Carolina loses a close one today to a very feisty Auburn team, but SC should be very proud of their 16-16 season! I see flashes of John Wooden/UCLA In Frank Martin/SC! GAMECOCKS ARE BUILDING A POWERHOUSE!
Frank Martin: Lot of credit to those kids at Auburn, they played real hard. ... I can’t ask our guys to give more than they’ve given this year. To have the spirit they’ve had, it’s been a real fun group to be around.
@SoConJohn22 South Carolina was terrible this year. 12 or 15 losses by 9 or more points. A total farce. I love Frank Martin but they were full strength vs stony brook and Wyoming I think. Can’t lose those games.
@dixiefriedsport Minus the one run to the Final Foir (which was unreal and an awesome accomplishment), Frank Martin’s teams always seem to lose any game that matters. Always struggle in SEC tournament. Always seem to@lose the important games. Then, they win games once they’ve played poorly.
@JoshHyberUSC@FrankMartin_SC Frank catches some grief, some of it justified for not making enough NCAAs, but man, do his players love him. And he genuinely cares about his players after b-ball. Love to win, but I like having Martin representing the Gamecocks!
@micah_tee I’ve enjoyed it as well and totally understand.
Go for it. I’ll read it in between Ehrman, Dale Martin, Peter Ens, and John Dominic Crossan. Though I’m guessing it’s more in line with Frank Turek, lee strobel or J. Warner Wallace 😉
Stayed chez Birgit then travelled home from OL
Petra, Andrea Martin muscular Müller then later Frank Smith very dodgy name and Brigit swapping anecdotes being buzzy
Drove off to get beer Petra declined and so did Brigit to join in a drinking session. Never mind. At his base
