Cleveland Cavaliers @cavs
It's with extreme sadness we share news of the unexpected passing of a beloved member of our Cavaliers family.
We extend our deepest condolences to Fred’s entire family.
Shocked and saddened to hear about the loss of Fred McLeod. He was a student of the game. He loved the CAVS but even more so the fans...Fred worked his ass off for the city of Cleveland and the NBA. Praying and sending my best to his wife Beth and kids.
Cavs 2016 Championship called by Fred McLeod
Rest In Peace, Fred McLeod. Cavs fans will never forget the sound of your voice! 😢
Fred McLeod loved the Cavs and he loved the fans. It was even better because you knew Fred was a great person. This is how he will be remembered, but this is only a small part of why he’ll be dearly missed. https://t.co/EIfoaR65Ic
So sad to hear of announcer Fred McLeod’s passing.
Going to miss his signature calls:
Good night Chicago, we'll let ourselves out!! when we win a roadie or
RIGHT DOWN EUCLID!!
A WINE AND GOLD WINNER!!
RIP and prayers for his family and friends.
Devastating news. Fred McLeod, the Cavs’ incredibly popular play by play man, has died, the team announced. Fred was a terrific man, an incredibly hard worker and a model ambassador for the team. He loved his wife Beth, his kids, golf and the Cavs. He will be missed dearly.
My thoughts and prayers 🙏 are with the entire Mcleod Family......RIP Mr. Fred Mcleod!
Our hearts go out to the family of Fred McLeod, @BethHMcLeod
and the @cavs

The Indians are saddened to hear of the passing of Fred McLeod, who was part of the broadcast team for the Tribe in 1979 on WJW 8.
Our thoughts are with the entire @cavs
and the McLeod family.
Aside from his call of the championship, this is my favorite Fred McLeod call
Fred McLeod cared as much about the Cavs as any player they ever had. I can’t believe this. https://t.co/L2tZaqWW0e
Last season, Fred McLeod stopped me in hallway before a #Cavs game, just to offer praise and support for the website. After that, I wrote every post with Fred at least partially mind, knowing that no matter how small the news, he was reading. I intend to continue that tradition.
t's only right to re-live the #Cavs' championship moment while hearing Fred McLeod's voice. 😢
The Detroit Pistons organization expresses tremendous sorrow upon receiving news regarding the unexpected passing of Fred McLeod.

#Cavs play by play man Fred McLeod passed away Monday evening. Such a wonderful friend and supporter for me. Adored by fans. Just awful news.
Fred McLeod gave us this beautiful call of the Cavs 2016 championship. Fred was all of Cleveland here.
Thank you for all the memories.

Jim Donovan, Fred McLeod, and Tom Hamilton.
Being a sports fan in NE Ohio these are the voices u were raised on. This is heartbreaking...
Terrible news comes out of Cleveland as the #Cavs announce the passing of long-time announcer Fred McLeod. 😢
It's going to be difficult to no longer hear "Right down Euclid" and "A Wine and Gold winner" — Freddy's two signature lines — during games.

Totally heartbroken. My friend, Fred McLeod, has passed. He was 67. Fred was the Cavs’ TV play-by-play man. We met at Ch.4 in Detroit. Fred is the reason I’m on TV today. He gave me my big break. Here’s us together. Love and prayers to his wife @BethHMcLeod
and his family.
Remembering Fred McLeod: A #Cavs fan at his core, timeless broadcaster, role model and great person https://t.co/WCGpNQsEzn
Fred McLeod was confoundingly amiable & remarkably genuine.
He had the best kind of sense of humor: sharp, humble, self-effacing.
He approached conversation the same way he did interviews, by prioritizing making the other person look good over himself. #RIPFred
Column: Fred McLeod will always be so much more than the #Cavs play-by-play man to me. And honestly, to so many others. #NBA https://t.co/fD0W0WJAj4
Felt off all day since the news broke. I'm really glad that Fred McLeod got to experience the best era of Cavs basketball and a championship. Him and AC were a special part of that entire journey.
We compiled highlights with audio of Fred McLeod's BEST calls as the Cavs announcer. There are some amazing ones here: https://t.co/wlj3z8U3Oh
