Vale Judith ‘Georgie Girl’ Durham. I will never forget the first time I heard your glorious voice.
Judith Durham and “The Seekers” were true trailblazers..the first Aussie band to have major chart success in UK and USA. “Georgie Girl”, “I’ll Never Find Another You”, “Morning Town Ride” such an enduring part of my childhood. Judith’s distinctive voice was a national treasure .
So sad. 😢
RIP to one of Australia's sweethearts. You'll always be our Sweet Georgie Girl. 💝
https://t.co/0vm0AbG4BPGeorgie Girl, The Carnival is Over, such singable, memorable songs in that crystalline voice … vale Judith, genuinely an icon, a defining voice, and such a gentle soul.
https://t.co/KXV0N5w9LZAnother part of my childhood gone. I remember as a little lass singing Georgie Girl to all and sundry (not as well as JD of course). One of my all time favourites is A World of my (oops, our) own. Vale Judith Durham.
https://t.co/EMMC1P8sKvJudith Durham, lead singer of The Seekers best known for the song Georgie Girl has passed away at the age of 79.
RIP🙏
@sweet68 @AlboMP Ummm She didn't sing that one... I'd prefer the Carnival is over. Which I think is far more appropriate the way Australia is heading don't you Leigh? RIP Georgie girl.
Hey there, Georgie Girl. RIP #JudithDurham #TheSeekers
@millyfromoz I was really sad to read that Judith Durham has died. I loved her voice. All these years later Georgie Girl is still one of my favourite songs. 🌈
Russell Drysdale #LetRightBeDone #IStandWithAlbo@Russputin2@Noisynanawarat1 ☀️👍Morning Nan. I used to love them too & remember the Movie about Georgie Girl🙏💜

https://t.co/DIrT4wyiRy@5Tunesaday Even I have stuggled to find link Public Enemy to Judy, who I have say had the voice of an angle, wake up to Georgie Girl every morning.
@56blackcat So nostalgic.
Loved that number and The Carnival is Over and Georgie Girl.
Brings a tear😢
Noooo! Craig and I saw the Seekers at Bridgewater Hall years ago - she was amazing! Georgie Girl is always n my head! Heartbroken 💔

Just heard about #JudithDurham 😢😢😢 Georgie girl. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
@HerRoyalHeinous My school folk group used to play their songs.
I can still play ‘Georgie Girl.’
@Russputin2 “Georgie Girl” the movie was released while I was in England . Very well received
@alswifejacky “ Hey there Georgie Girl”. I can hear it now. My dad loved her too. Sad news.
“Georgie Girl” was the first song my concert pianist friend taught me how to play.
@cathyraats @crankyoldbag My favourite was Georgie Girl - Judith Durham at her very best. Seems to me 79-80 is a ball park figure for your time here - my Mum was 80 when she no longer helped with my bills..
@matthewcobb Shouts from sick bay no2: Where are you finding these films? I’m thinking of watching Georgie Girl (James Mason and Alan Bates….)
@BenRAtkinson her voice has not faded at all. So charming to see them here. Apart from Mornington I loved Georgie Girl.
