Surprises: Margot Robbie, John David Washington, Emily Blunt (A Quiet Place), Bohemian Rhapsody In Ensemble (really!?)
Snubs: Regina King is the biggest one for sure. Ethan Hawke is next. Toni Collette’s chances are sadly dead.
I’m going to need a few to re-evaluate life...
Buried in the rightful frustration of a lot of the SAG nominees (category fraud, no King, no Hawke, no Beale Street or Roma) there's a TON of good:
Crazy Rich Asians!
BLACK FUCKING PANTHER
John David Washington YESSSSSSS
no Green Book, Vice in Ensemble
Here are my #sagawards thoughts:
1. WIDOWS is officially dead. FIRST MAN is on life support
2. One happy surprise: John David Washington (yes)
3. BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY is probably getting a Best Picture nom (and we'll look back on that years from now as a complete mistake)
Here are the names listed for #BlacKkKlansman #sagawards Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture - John David Washington, Adam Driver, Laura Harrier, Topher Grace, Corey Hawkins and Harry Belafonte - Should be MORE than six names.
I guess I need to watch BlacKkKlansman again because I did not see it from John David Washington the first two times around. Not that he was bad or anything but to me he was sort of just there to move the narrative.
@NextBestPicture I love #BlacKkKlansman. It's currently in my top 10 for the year. But I just can't get behind John David Washington over the best performance of Ethan Hawke's career... (Hawke should be ahead of at least Rami and Viggo, too, imo.)
Saíram os indicados ao SAG Awards:
Christian Bale (Vice)
Bradley Cooper (Nasce uma Estrela)
Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody)
Viggo Mortensen (Green Book)
John David Washington (Infiltrados na Klan)
I do love that John David Washington got nominated though, and all the Favoruite love is great. Mostly hung up on Yalitza and Hawke missing. Probably the two strongest performances of the year, along with Collette but I figured she’d be left out.
