Loaisiga was awful, and Boone managed it horribly. Crazy you could feel it was over the moment they got a run. Pain

Imagine if... •Chapman didn’t implode in Minn. •Chapman didn’t implode against the Angels •Chapman didn’t blow it against the Mets •Green didn’t implode in Houston •Chad didn’t implode in Boston •Loaisiga didn’t implode in Boston We’d be 57-41 only two games out of 1st

Jonathan Loaisiga has allowed hits to all four men he has faced and the Yankees' lead is cut to 4-3.

@Yankees Chapman cant pitch 3 days in a row. Domingo cant continue cause of pitch count after dominating. But Loaisiga, who pitched yesterday for the first time in 15 days, comes in again over Green/Cessa. Incredible. Aaron Boone does it again.

Jonathan Loaisiga is 3rd Yankee pitcher to give up 4+ runs and 4+ hits while getting 0 outs in a game this season. Before this year, there had never been a season where more than one Yankee pitcher did that.

People are gonna blame our best reliever imploding on Aaron Boone. As if Loaisiga in the 8th hasn’t happened all year.

Domingo German has the fourth 4-strikeout inning in Yankees history A.J. Burnett 6/24/2011 vs COL (6th inn) Phil Hughes 9/20/2012 vs TOR (4th inn) Jonathan Loaisiga 6/25/2021 at BOS (7th inn) And oh yeah, he hasn't allowed a hit through 7

Chad Green & Jonathan Loaisiga were solid all year. We were talking about all-star snubs for Loaisiga. It’s really hard to blame Aaron Boone here. At some point we gotta blame the player we like. https://t.co/alSFdEuacY

Boone on Loaisiga vs. Kiké: "Just felt like like I wanted one more hitter there for the rightie. We had Britt going to get ready, knowing that we're gonna have a pinch hit situation. Felt like if, if Lo could locate a pitch there, I like the matchup. But it's a fair question."

Yankees’ bullpen was horrendous in today’s game (Jonathan Loaisiga) but RISP fails also played a legit part. Yankees in 2017: .804 OPS w/ RISP Yankees in 2018: .784 OPS w/ RISP Yankees in 2019: .890 OPS w/ RISP Yankees in 2020: .839 OPS w/ RISP Yankees in 2021: .649 OPS w/ RISP

#MLB https://t.co/WcmRbBgsfq

If Buck Showalter is the manager of the #Yankees and takes out Germàn at 93 pitches and brings in Loaisiga, who then allows all four batters he faces to reach, who is to blame? Loaisiga or Showalter?

@TheHam_Porter
@JakeRepNY Put in Loaisiga 2 days in a row with a fully rested bullpen and allowed him to continue past three straight ropes with nobody out in the inning. There’s no urgency. Also sending Tyler Wade with 2 outs in the 9th is bold with your hottest hitter up at the plate who could go deep.

@go_saj @SalesAjc @SHCBackupAcc @SonOfGerrit @JC130onYT …taking him out in time (after the 3rd batter). He let loaisiga pitch to Hernandez, who hit a double, instead of bringing in Britton the notorious ground ball pitcher with first and second nobody out

@go_saj @SalesAjc @SHCBackupAcc @SonOfGerrit @JC130onYT Boone keeps bringing in the wrong guys to close games. Chad green on Thursday is like the only exception bc chapman was unavailable and not entirely trustworthy anyway. Examples include: Justin Wilson - Detroit game, loaisiga (8th inning today but still) and not…

@Christian_NYYST Both.. Loaisiga for doing poorly, but more so Showalter for not removing him after 3 batters. He is the manager, it's his responsibility to mitigate the damage.

@MPPascone @Jomboy_ #barrenboone has consistently shown this for four years now. It was clear loaisiga had nothing but there was nobody ready. Oh and how about rallies to add-on fizzled by #stanton bases-loaded K and Torres getting picked off second. The coaching is horrible all through the org!

Look, Aaron Boone is not a good manager, but taking German out was not a bad move. And even then, how do you manage to blame *analytics* for that? If you want to criticize a decision, criticize leaving Loaisiga in when he clearly didn’t have it or going to Britton over Green.

@MikeSalvatore10 Not removing Loaisiga after 3 batters absolutely is on Aaron Boone. So is prematurely yanking German and so is not considering that Lo might not be a great option by after a lot of stress pitches yest in his first game back from IL. Going to Green on Thursday was fine. This, eh.

1/ Leaving Loaisiga In Rules only require a pitcher to face 3 hitters. Lo gave a up a three straight hits. With a 2 run lead and runners on 1st and 2nd, it’s the perfect time for Britton who is one of MLB’s premier ground all artists.
