Steelers’ HC Mike Tomlin on his QB Mason Rudolph:
A statement from Mason Rudolph’s agent with some key words, calling Myles Garrett’s claim of a racial slur, “defamatory.”
“He is now exposed to legal liability.” https://t.co/W6R0WEWXwU
A strong statement from #Steelers coach Mike Tomlin in support of QB Mason Rudolph, in response to the Myles Garrett interview with @OTLonESPN
. Tomlin cites many conversations and interactions and says he received no indication of anything racial.
I can't say what Mason Rudolph said or didn't. What I do know is that this ridiculously oft-repeated narrative "Myles Garrett's a mild-mannered man who's never done anything destructive or lost his temper" is patently false.
Did Delanie Walker say a bad word to set him off, too? https://t.co/pIkk72cTXI
Myles Garrett once again claimed Mason Rudolph called him a racial slur.
Rudolph was not happy to hear it.
#Browns DE Myles Garrett has again accused Mason Rudolph of directing a racial epithet at him. #Steelers HC Mike Tomlin is not letting that go w/out a response. And for a coach who often avoids things he deems frivolous or unworthy of comment, that speaks volumes:
The Steelers just killed an ant with a sledgehammer. It would have been easy to have Mason Rudolph speak and defend himself. To have Mike Tomlin - one of the most visible and powerful black men in the NFL - call Myles Garrett a liar makes this situation gigantic.
Mason Rudolph used a racial slur to me with seven other black people around but none of them heard it - Myles Garrett logic
And then in calculated form Mason Rudolph fires off a denial tweet 15 minutes after Tomlin defends him.
Perfect. Absolutely perfect.
The Steelers kick the Browns ass at everything — in this case the PR game.
Apparently coming to a civil court in California, Mason Rudolph vs. Myles Garrett . . . with potential claims of defamation and battery (but not assault) https://t.co/ZkZ4fROrNf
Mason Rudolph calls Myles Garrett accusations "1,000%" false. Agent said Garrett has set himself up for legal action by Rudolph.
The attorney for Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph has issued a statement on Browns star Myles Garrett's claim that his client used a racial slur that ignited November's brawl.
Mason Rudolph is the type of dude who used to tell bouncers “do you know who my father is!”
He left off the part where he should’ve said Mason Rudolph looks exactly like a guy who would do that.
#poll Did Mason Rudolph call Garrett a racial slur?
The most well known and powerful black coach in the NFL just called Myles a straight up liar about Mason Rudolph. 😳
Myles Garrett trying really hard to be the next Jussie Smollett..
It’s amazing that people are trying to blame Mason Rudolph he did NOTHING wrong.
If I were Mason Rudolph, I'd absolutely sue Myles Garrett for defamation! Garrett is the Jussie Smollett of the NFL! I have no respect for that lowlife. Screaming racism to mask his abhorrent behavior on the field is egregious!
Mason Rudolph should be more upset with himself assassinating his own career. Dude is terrible
