For all the “overrated” SEC chants/tweets we’ve heard from OU and UT fans over the years.. let’s make them buy there way into the SEC.
$25mill each. Take it or leave it.
B12 dies if OU and UT jump ship.
A majority vote would be needed (8-6) for this to happen. A&M is out. Now name another 8 SEC schools who stand to benefit, who improve their road to a CFB Championship, by adding OU and UT, and would vote Yes.
Ain't gonna happen. https://t.co/TUyZQmGl3B
Odd this article about OU and UT trying to join the SEC drops right as Jimbo is getting on stage 🤔
This makes sense.
They literally left to get away from Texas.
There are a whole bunch of SEC schools that fall further down the pecking order if OU and UT join.
Is there enough money from them to agree to it? https://t.co/bQyEvzk9cV
If I’m the BIGXII and if OU and UT leave, you need to go get Utah, Nebraska, and Houston (or another top tier G5). Obviously I think BYU fits great but I’m refusing myself for our purposes here
Oklahoma State statement on OU and Texas reports about the SEC:
“We have heard unconfirmed reports that OU and UT approached Southeastern Conference officials about joining the SEC. We are gathering information and will monitor closely."
Statement from Oklahoma State University
“We have heard unconfirmed reports that OU and UT approached Southeastern Conference officials about joining the SEC. We are gathering information and will monitor closely. If true, we would be gravely disappointed.
I kind of like OU and UT having their own thing. I don't want to join the borg.
Would rather add Cincy, Houston, or Louisiana.
If OU and UT to go the SEC...
Tech, TCU, Baylor and Ok State to the PAC 12
Kansas, Kstate and Iowa State to the Big 10.
Rutgers and West Virginia to the ACC.
Four 16 team conferences.
Unfortunately I think the Big 12 lives and dies with OU and UT.
If they bolt, the best option for Tech is joining another conference because the Big 12 wouldn’t be seen as a “Power” conference anymore, even if we added a couple solid Group of 5 teams.
9 years ago Texas A&M: “thank god we got out of the BIG 12, OU and Texas can suck it”
OU and UT to A&M Today: https://t.co/vUOf0wvJoq
If OU and UT leave the big 12, yeah. It’s just another AAC conference and it may be more of a P4. Expect the remaining bigger big 12 schools to beg the Big 10 or PAC 12 to take them.
Hell no. I don’t think Big XII revenue will be anything to brag about if OU and UT leave. They are the breadwinners for that conference
But also OU and UT would have a WAY better shot at winning the Pac 12 than the SEC. Maybe its better for them to be in a conference where it -isn't- such a priority.
just got in my truck so could’ve missed this but if OU and UT are added, that could be a time they get rid of divisions.
Very real, and so glad the Houston Chronicle had the scoop.
OkSt and TTU are probably pissed OU and UT didn’t tell them. Allegedly the Big12 is being blindsided.
I will make a prediction. OSU and OU will join the $EC before OU and UT
Doesn’t bother me lol. I think it hilarious that after all the crap OU and ut have talked about the SEC and now they are coming with their hat in hand 😂
Its got to be money. I mean why would the middle to lower tier SEC teams want OU and UT in the league? It just pushes them further down the ladder.
Oklahoma St. statement in regards to the report that OU & Texas have inquired about joining the SEC: “We have heard unconfirmed reports that OU and UT approached Southeastern Conference officials about joining the SEC. We are gathering information and will monitor closely. (1/2)
From OSU: “We have heard unconfirmed reports that OU and UT approached Southeastern Conference officials about joining the SEC. We are gathering information and will monitor closely. If true, we would be gravely disappointed....
-#royals positives in 2nd half already.
-#Chiefs headline #4 going into training camp
-Big 12 going to lose OU and UT?
Bruh if you move OU AND UT to the SEC, Clemson and OSU the only other schools worth a damn
Was planning a follow-up tweet but you beat me to it. A&M vs UT would be such a treat to watch again. Frankly, watching OU and UT play teams like bama, LSU, Georgia, Auburn instead of any the big 12 teams would be way more entertaining
