Some cause & effect here: PG&E is not shutting down power because they get sued every time they burn down a city. They are shutting down power because they deferred maintenance for decades in order to maximize shareholder profits and now their systems are too broken to safely run
PG&E is about to shut off power to 800,000 customers in 34 counties in central and Northern California to stop its equipment from causing wildfires, if you’re curious about American infrastructure’s resilience under increasingly dire climatic conditions. https://t.co/iTg2SSJkYt
Never before in history, Rothschild's own PG&E🐍
PG&E to cut power to 800,000 customers across California after midnight; Marin added to list
Silicon Valley included in map
Schools will be closed
Deep State up to something

For anyone who still claims capitalism is an optimal system, 100k people in the Bay Area are about to lose power because PG&E has discovered that’s cheaper than fixing their infrastructure
PG&E will preemptively cut power for more than 800,000 customers across 34 counties in Northern California starting just after midnight. Here's what you need to know: https://t.co/athsxUPoH8
To folks blaming climate change for PG&E shutting off power in parts of Northern California... it’s gonna be a whopping 78° there tomorrow. It’s not climate change causing this. The cause? Overbearing regulations, lack of infrastructure improvements and a terribly run company.
For anyone in the Bay Area who hasn't heard, we've been given less than 12 hours warning for potentially a 5-day power shutoff. Since the PG&E website is useless and overloaded, you can check if you'll be affected here: https://t.co/jDno2jvzTK
The most un-Trump state in America is about to allow its sanctioned public utility, PG&E, to shut off power to over 2 million people with less than 12 hours notice. Where else in America is this hell happening? Why is the Governor silent? https://t.co/IcKFza5pix
Shutting off the power grid reduces the risk of ignition in high risk fire weather. But let’s not get this twisted: a PG&E shutdown isn’t a proxy for fire risk itself, it’s a management choice by an old, broken, investor-owned system.
Literally PG&E is shutting off people’s power bc they don’t want to be sued again for a wildfire & coming from a Solar Energy saleswomen based in Cali, I can not wait to go to work tomorrow 🤑🤑🤑 #poweroutage
PG&E will open Community Resource Centers in several locations starting Wed 10/9 @ 8 am. They will remain open during daylight hrs only. Restrooms, bottled water, electronic-device charging, a/c seating for up to 100 will be available. Full list: https://t.co/vijezmus4h
There’s about to be really bad fire weather, and PG&E (https://t.co/tQB1w9p1iF
) announced with less than a day of notice that it will cut power to 800,000 hookups for up to 5 days. Because its power lines start fires.
For those effected by the #PGEShutoff in #California here is a link where you file a claim for your losses. RT to save someone's ice cream 🍨
when I first heard someone talking about this plan I thought "they must not have that right, PG&E can't be actually cutting power to 800,000 homes for up to 5 days, that's not possible" but... nope... that is what is happening! https://t.co/TcLdVtDCeJ
There will be a PG&E blackout in Northern California for next 48 hours. Low life people on social media are already talking about going out and committing crimes.
Times like this I love that I am not a sitting duck liberal who doesn't believe in the 2nd ammendment.
It I Go Rogue the Next 3-5 Days 🤣
Not Really Laughing As It’s Been Reported That In Addition To No Electricity, There Would Be No Water Service, ATMs or Gas Pumps

PG&E just shut off the power here in Northern California. We're a third world country now. 🤬
PG&E’s Singh just confirmed to us that power may not be fully restored until Monday or Tuesday. They have to inspect all their lines for damage — like trees and broken poles that could start a fire when it’s turned back on — before restoring.
1. Ok. Honestly folks, you need to know the truth about PG&E and the planned power outages in California. I'm seeing a LOT of uneducated and uninformed comments. So, here's the truth:
PG&E is being bullied by the residents and government of California. They're being manipulated.
2/ We're in fire season now = dry lands + winds. This is a glimpse of the #climateemergency. Just felt my anger intensify. PG&E didn't do upgrades needed long ago to keep maximizing shareholder profits so now the people pay the price. So what happens when #ClimateCrisis is worse?
California Politicians allowed PG&E to negligently burn down its customers homes and then pass its legal costs into its customers via rate increases. Read #SB901 And now this?!? #poweroutage #campfire https://t.co/7JenqWLNYf
Across the Bay Area, residents were flustered and frustrated at the impending power outage, unable to access the PG&E map of outage areas and unclear how best to prepare. https://t.co/VwituzuKsr
California: PG&E, your equipment is faulty, sparking and causing wildfires. What are you going to do about it?
PG&E: Declare bankruptcy to avoid paying for our negligence & shut off everyone's power to show you plebs how much you need us. #PGEShutoff
4. PG&E, being limited and restricted asked the state how to limit fire danger. The state wouldn't budge on tree cutting so PG&E came up with the idea of simply cutting power to at risk power lines during extreme fire season. Newsome ok'd the measure.
PG&E out here making a strong case for decentralizing the grid for many different reasons! https://t.co/UH9ogmrglt

Putting this out here again, retweet far and wide:
If you're in the affected area, you could be without power for up to a week, and potentially without water for just as long.
And they start the shut off tomorrow. https://t.co/HQQCwt2ufv
