@jrnyluvr50@ReddHead_13@stephietweets My problem with it is players like Ricky Williams gets kicked out of the NFL for smoking weed but Hunt gets a second chance for being held back by 6 people to assault a woman? I thought NFL had a zero tolerance policy after Ray Rice. The morals don't add up imo
@NathanHenry14 Kareem Hunt is not Ray Rice. Rice knocked that woman out. Hunt's altercation was more with the man than the woman (who, by the way, called him the n-word, stalked him back to his hotel room, & tried to attack his girlfriend).
Ray Rice's last season (2013) before being cut - and never signed again:
• 214 carries
• 660 yards (3.4 YPC)
• 4 total TDs
Kareem Hunt's 2018 season before being cut:
• 181 carries
• 824 yards (4.6 YPC)
• 14 total TDs
@bsp_13@NFL It proves even more that after the Ray Rice situation happened they only pretended to care about domestic violence and assault to save face at the time. They covered up and buried this Hunt story with ease but want to demonize someone like Gordon for doing virtually nothing wrong
@blue_coming@mrbubblesworth@AP It’s a shame you can’t differentiate. The level of malice/intent to injure in the Kareem incident isn’t nearly as high as it was in the Ray Rice incident. That’s really all I’m saying but go ahead and keep painting with your broad brush.
The Browns were smart to pick up Kareem Hunt, if they didn't someone else would have - they are trying to win games
His situation is nothing like Ray Rice - it was blown way out of portion for a kick to the ass --he's young and deserves a second chance to earn a living
@OmarKelly He deserves a second chance. It’s not like he’s not being punished. But the punishment should fit the crime. He admitted wrongdoing and didn’t dispute her claims. But circumstances much different than the Ray Rice incident
@amahdy@rizsrug216@MaryKayCabot The difference is Ray rice knocked his wife out, where Hunt lightly kicked a girl away for calling him the N word and being the aggressor at the party. Which she was told to leave multiple times also came at his sister aggressive. That’s the difference
@richeisen I'm a Chiefs fan. Dropping him was the least that should've been done. The way Ray Rice was handled, so to should Hunt. It needs to be clear to these players that talent does not replace morality. Ever.
@Anderson_av7@CurtiAntony Mas cara, nos EUA os jogadores são modelos pras crianças, acho q nenhuma organização ou torcida iria querer um jogador com um passado desse dps, por exemplo o caso do Ray Rice
@ESPNOrlando Has it dawned on the people at espn we care about sports first? If they arent in jail, we dont care. You guys make everything personal llike those stupid 30/30's, one of the reason no one watches anymore.
Btw ray rice didnt beat her down, he hit her once
Kareem Hunt gets a second chance Ray Rice rightfully never got after assaulting a woman yet Colin Kaepernick still hasn't gotten an NFL contract? So we are becoming more lenient on men who beat women? Glad I've boycotted the NFL for 2+ years now. Don't see myself coming back.
@rizsrug216@MaryKayCabot What is the difference between Ray Rice and him? Rice never played again. He has been out of a job for a minute and a https://t.co/TZeksew2By me he has not changed in this short time frame. Time will tell. Glad my team didn’t sign him.
@b_christ_@Edvixbos@marcd81@ezlazar For real they want me to sit here and say he should be banned from the NFL for life! He is just as bad of a human as ray rice! Nah, that’s not how life works lol. Kareem Hunt didn’t even get arrested for that incident, and y’all wanna leave him jobless? Lol yea ok
@natey777@MaryKayCabot I wouldn’t use the phrase “woman beater”. It’s not fair to compare him to people who have given women scars and bruises. This isn’t much of a beating IMO. (I’m not saying it was right, I’m just saying people are acting like he is Ray Rice 2.0)
@jennydialcreech This isn’t Ray Rice knocking someone out. Also, why do you not acknowledge the woman instigating the confrontation? Would you feel differently if the person who was pushed was a man? If it was a man, I don’t think you’d care. But because it was a woman, stop the presses.
@dwgpndsurf@LizzyTDmb@BurdsIVue See what we not finna do here is compare Ray Rice to Kareem Hunt. Ray Rice cold clocked his girl, closed fist. That’s awful & I condemned him for it. Kareem Hunt tapped her with his foot, quite literally. It’s in the video for Christ’s sake.
@Edvixbos@b_christ_@marcd81@ezlazar Exactly lol. Y’all acting like I’m gonna put Hunt’s incident in the same category as the ray rice assault. I will not do that lol. If it was my daughter, mom, wife etc I would not view both incidents as the same in any way shape or form. Getting KO and tripped is not the same
@Resist1972 It was wrong of him for sure. But he admitted to it and is seeking help. People deserve second chances and I wish in these cases we expect more from the law than a business trying for profit. Ray Rice did not spend any time in jail and should have for sure.
Saying Kaep has been blackballed for kneeling is like saying Ray Rice was blackballed for beating up a woman. There’s plenty of evidence that teams don’t care about women or kneeling. They only care about good players, and neither of those guys are any good. https://t.co/p85igsz1sV
