New York Mets starter Noah Syndergaard has a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow and is expected to undergo Tommy John surgery in the near future, sources tell ESPN. The procedure will keep him out until at earliest April 2021 and likely into the summer months.
Would appreciate it if baseball fans could get some new news that wasn't the announcement of an ace pitcher getting Tommy John surgery. Thanks.

Harvey, Wheeler, Matz, deGrom, Noah...all Tommy John. Every single one of them.
Serious question: If te Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC has suspended non-essential surgery, how is Noah Syndergaard having his Tommy John surgery at HSS on Thursday? A doctor friend is incensed by this. Any answers?
In a statement, Brodie Van Wagenen said Syndergaard had discomfort in the elbow before spring training was suspended an underwent an MRI that revealed the tear. A second opinion by Dr. Neal ElAttrache confirmed the diagnosis. Syndergaard will undergo Tommy John surgery Thursday.
Breaking: Noah Syndergaard will have Tommy John surgery Thursday, which of course was originally supposed to be Opening Day.

Ya know the last time they had a starter need tommy john in March they made the World Series!
It's hard to not read between the lines on all these tommy john surgeries and think baseball isn't happening this year at all and teams are just looking to 2021. That is...a bummer, man. That's a major bummer.
Needing Tommy John during a quarantine in a pandemic would have been no worse than a 6 seed https://t.co/2WJoNslaUQ
