SS Orlando Arcia signs a 1-year contract, avoiding arbitration. OF Ben Gamel, LHP Josh Hader, RHP Corey Knebel and LHP Brent Suter have been tendered contracts. Gone from Brewers’ 2019 roster: Yasmani Grandal, Mike Moustakas, Drew Pomeranz, Travis Shaw, Chase Anderson, Zach Davies, Junior Guerra, Alex Claudio, Jimmy Nelson and Tyler Saladino. Quite the overhaul.
#Brewers non-tender five players: Travis Shaw, Jimmy Nelson, Junior Guerra, Alex Claudio, Tyler Saladino. @MLB
The Brewers’ Opening Day 2019 starters in the infield: Yasmani Grandal, Jesús Aguilar, Mike Moustakas, Orlando Arcia, Travis Shaw. Pitcher: Jhoulys Chacín.
Only Arcia remains.
Brewers were in talks with Travis Shaw's rep all day today, David Stearns said. Couldn't strike a deal before the nontender deadline, and the club was not willing to proceed with him into arbitration.
The #Brewers non-tender Travis Shaw along with Tyler Saladino, Alex Claudio, Junior Guerra and Jimmy Nelson.
The Brewers have non-tendered Travis Shaw.
The Milwaukee Brewers announce that Travis Shaw has been non-tendered, that trade was awful for both sides.
Here the fallout:
Tendered: Ben Gamel, Josh Hader, Corey Knebel, Brent Suter
Non-tendered: Tyler Saladino, Travis Shaw, Alex Claudio, Junior Guerra, Jimmy Nelson
Non-Tendered so far today. A few surprising ones...
Yeah, go get Travis Shaw for the bench. I don’t know what happened last year but he’s a flier I take.
#Brewers GM David Stearns said he had negotiations with Travis Shaw's agent throughout day but no deal could be reached, presumably for a lesser some than projected arbitration. So, decided to non-tender.
The Claudio non-tender is stunning to me. Definitely understand Travis Shaw and Junior Guerra but I think those are rather tough choices. Gives us a lot to talk about with @Brewers
GM David Stearns at #TheFanToyDrive this Thursday at 5! https://t.co/rAkhVruO4C
Los #Brewers no le ofrecieron contrato a Travis Shaw, de esta manera se convierte en agente libre. #MLB https://t.co/yZCsANTVAC

One could build a decent team off this years Non-Tenders, here is my team
C Josh Phegley
1B CJ Cron
2B Cesar Hernandez
SS Tim Beckham
3B Travis Shaw
OF Domingo Santana
OF Kevin Pillar
OF Steve Souza
Bench Charlie Culberson, Jose Peraza, Jesus Aguilar, Caleb Jospeh
Do Yankee fans clambering for Travis Shaw realize how bad he was this year? NYY doesn’t have the ABs or even the roster spot for a reclamation project
Travis Shaw no longer wanted to be a Brewer and that was obvious very early in 2019. I have no doubts he will be good with someone else, but I don’t think he could have been good here. And that’s a real thing.
It’s not too rich for me. But I don’t want Travis Shaw on the roster, period. He had his chance & he sucked. We had to sign Moose to cover up his shitty play. I can bring a dude up from the minors to hit .190 & play 3rd for $500K. Or let Arcia do the same.
I can see the Giants being in play for Travis Shaw. Dude had two 30+ HR seasons in '17 and '18. Can play 1B, 2B, and 3B
Travis Shaw is in a similar boat to Scooter, IMO. Likely headed for a minor league deal, with incentives if he makes the team.
Could be an asset I’d he’s back to normal. Or get released in the spring if he’s not.
Shaw would be hard to fit into #Reds, as he’s blocked everywhere.
There are some really decent names on here. Cesar Hernandez at 2B would be NICE. Add him to my list with Travis Shaw, Asdrubal, Peraza, and Franco. https://t.co/vJEQIoXIpp
Who are some off these non-tender guys you'd like to see the Jays bring in? One for me would be Travis Shaw
I am intrigued at Pillar and Trienan. But also Gausman and Travis Shaw. Maybe Gausman sticks in the pen, but if Shaw can rediscover his form, it would be good depth option for aging Cano/Lowrie. Villar would have been a better fit there, but, oh well
Here's one. Would the Cubs possibly be interested in picking up Travis Shaw? He has played a little 2B, has been decent in the past but just god awful in 2019. Pick him up.. see how he looks in ST and worst case you dump him before season starts?
Along with those two signings, Brewers non-tendered IF Tyler Saladino, IF Travis Shaw, LHP Alex Claudio, RHP Jimmy Nelson, RHP Junior Guerra
MIN: 1B CJ Cron, RHP Trevor Hildenberger. Ehire Adrianza avoids arbitration.
Very much hoping for a Travis Shaw signing
