Several years ago I was at a party (BRAG!), and I spotted a box of Triscuits. I asked everyone, "What does the word 'Triscuit' mean? It's clearly based on the word "BISCUIT," but what does the "TRI" mean?" (I'm great at parties.)
dude i am minding my own business, eating a box of Triscuits (Fire Roasted Tomato & Olive Oil) in my living room in Niagara Falls, scrolling through my TL and your thread randomly pops up and i am shitting my pants right now. The simulation is glitching. what the fuck.
If you don't do a limited run of triscuits using the original packaging and calling them electricity biscuits you'll regret it forever
you don't even eat triscuits unless someone else bought them
Y'all, I will never get bored enough to talk about Triscuits.
#IBelieveTaraReade at 14.5k tweets, not trending.
Triscuits at 4K tweets, trending.
You know people are bored during quarantine when Triscuits are trending.
Wait. Niagara Falls. Begin of the 20th century. New electricity. Does that mean we can thank/blame Nikola Tesla for Triscuits?!
All this talk of biscuits and triscuits is avoiding the enormous elephant in the room.
What's with the coordinated erasure of the legendary progenitor of them all: Monoscuit?
Ok everyone is talking about Triscuits but hear me out: Wheat Thiccs
If you start putting "The Electricity Biscuit" on your packaging, I will start buying Triscuits. I'm not the only one that feels this way.
The song Electric Avenue is about the street where they made Triscuits.
This line, from an ad for a 1906 2-week SHREDDED WHEAT DEMONSTRATION, is to me the most compelling documentary evidence for the electricity thesis, as it differentates between cooking Triscuits with electricity and Shredded Wheat Biscuits with gas. But it stops short of clarity. https://t.co/aMKV0tuptJ
i honestly really love triscuits, you guys
I'd love to see something from 1903 or soon thereafter that highlighted the TRIS syllable and connected it to electricity. Maybe they thought it was obvious. Of course, Triscuits weren't unique in their baking fuel for long at all. Pillsbury was showing it off within two years. https://t.co/nIFoZXFudn
Now learning that, I wonder how many stories will pop up of people trying to use Triscuits as conduits for electricity XD
I feel like lost in all this Triscuit etymology talk is the fact that while bis-cuit is indeed ultimately from the Latin for twice cooked, the Latin iterative number for 3x (“thrice”) is “ter” not “tris”! So they should properly be Tercuits, not Triscuits! COME ON SHEEPLE!!! 🤦♂️
Now Triscuits are like 1,000% cooler & so much more Frankenstein-like!
Well, now I suddenly understand why I saw some tweets about Triscuits earlier (i.e. I had not realized there was a viral thread)
This whole thing just makes me absolutely want triscuits. With liverwurst. And a glass of milk 🥛 #pinkcrackers
